A 15th to 19th century country residence situated in a lovely village in the River Vara Valley surrounded by the unspoiled green Ligurian hills and only 30 minutes from the seaside resorts of the Cinque Terre and 15 Km from La Spezia.
The property lies on the highest point of the medieval borgo and part of the house is built on the defensive walls of the fortification structure which was built to defend the castle of the Princess of the Malaspina family, who where the rulers of these lands throughout the middle ages.

A large secondary building at this moment not in use and in need of repair but which in olden days comprised several rooms for visiting guests.
Above this imposing structure with wide tall renaissance type windows is located a tiled terrace (106 sq. meters) which overlooks the surrounding woodland and the open valley of the village below.
